Best Value Gaming PC - Intel Edition

This is my November 2024 recommendation for the best-value Intel-based gaming PC.

Core i3-12100F for ~800 SEK and Core i5-12400F for ~1300 SEK are the best-value budget CPUs from Intel at the moment. Core i3-12100F has only four physical cores, but with eight threads, it still delivers very respectable gaming performance, often better than Ryzen 5 3600 and Core i5-10400. Core i5-12400F has six physical cores, and it's a noticeably better CPU overall, but unlike Core i3, it may overheat with the stock cooler under heavy load.

Nvidia RTX 3060 and RTX 4060 would be a good fit for either of the Intel Core CPUs. RTX 3060 comes with 12 GB of vRAM and RTX 4060 has only 8 GB of vRAM. The 12 GB RTX 3060 costs a bit less and would be better if you mostly play single-player titles and want to enjoy high-resolution textures. RTX 4060 is newer and a bit faster overall so it's better for online gaming.

If you don't want an NVidia GPU or the budget does not allow it, then AMD offers RX 6600, RX 6600XT, RX 6650XT, RX 7600, and RX 7600XT alternatives.

Even though many gamers would be fine with just 512GB of storage, these days games require a lot of space and my minimum recommendation is 1TB of storage, of course, 2TB is even better.

At least 16GB of RAM (memory) is required for comfortable gaming but 32GB kits usually cost less per 1GB, thus I would recommend to go with 32GB if the budget allows.

Power supply is a crucial component of every gaming PC, unfortunately, it's very often neglected. I always recommend going with quality units from brands like Seasonic, EVGA, or Corsair, at the same time it's not always possible on a very tight budget. Core i3-12100/i5-12400 and RTX 3060/4060 are not very demanding, thus a semi-decent 550W PSU will do it, given you have a stable electricity supply at your home.

Computer chassis is the last component I recommend spending money on. Still, it's very important to pick a chassis with adequate airflow. Zalman Z1 is one of the best options for the price. The chassis comes with a transparent side-panel, several cutouts for ventilation, and what's more important, it's equipped with three fans of a decent quality.

If you prefer RGB lights over the quality then DUTZO C330 TG RGB comes with 6 RGB fans. The fans are of lower quality but they are shiny.

All my computers come with a 12-month warranty included but an extended warranty is also available.
